What the Daniel Team Enjoys

The Daniel team values our working relationships and takes some time to build strong connections, relax together, and recharge our batteries when we need it!  Our favorite team activities are watching movies, visiting the Cornell Dairy Bar for ice cream, and going to lunch in Collegetown.

What Professor Daniel Enjoys

Professor Daniel’s favorite warm weather activities are hiking and camping. She has found lovely trails and majestic waterfalls during her adventures in Ithaca and the Adirondacks. Professor Daniel is currently on a quest to hike all forty-six Adirondack High Peaks. She tracks her progress to becoming an Adirondack 46er on her Peakbagger Page. In Winter, Professor Daniel takes on trails in her snowshoes or goes snowboarding at Greek Peak.

Professor Daniel is an enthusiastic traveler. While visiting regions from Mozambique, to Japan, to France, she explores the outdoors and learns new recipes. She most recently learned to make dashi while visiting the Tsukiji Fish Market

Adventures of the Daniel Team

Professor Daniel welcomes students to join her on outdoor treks because fresh air and fun results in renewed creativity. Our team has camped in the Adirondacks, skied at Greek Peak, picnicked at Taughannock, kayaked on Ithaca waterways, and boated on Cayuga Lake. Whether in the lab or not, we are always up for an adventure!
